I went to America some years ago with the captain of a steamer, who was a very devoted Christian.

So what do we do when we can’t see the full picture yet?

Faith doesn’t always give us instant answers or full understanding. Instead, it’s about trusting God even when the road ahead feels unclear.

A PRAYER FOR THE FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION

Most holy Virgin Mary, Mother of God and our Mother, today the whole Church looks up and sees you crowned in glory.

The grave could not hold you.

We stand in a line we did not choose,

A line we cannot see.

We wake each day and think we have

A lifetime yet to be.

But every hour, someone leaves

Not just the old or weak.

One day, we’re all going to stand before God and give an account of our lives. That should really make us stop and think. Are we ready to meet Him? Are we actually living in a way that honors Him?
