AS I BEGIN THIS DAY…

Heavenly Father, as I begin this new day, I come before You in humble prayer, guided by the parable of the Workers in the Vineyard narrated by Jesus, Your Son.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;

Casting down imaginations,

Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

Paul reminds us that the Christian life is not governed by retaliation.
